Gamalama mountain
Gamalama mountain is a mountain conical stratovolcano that is the whole island of Ternate, Maluku Islands, Indonesia. This island is on the west coast of the island of Halmahera in northern Maluku Islands. For centuries, Ternate was the center of the Portuguese fort and the Dutch VOC for the spice trade, which has recorded volcanic activity Gamalama.
Mountain has a height of 1715 meters Gamalama above sea level. Montane forest covered mountains Gamalama at an altitude of 1200-1500 m and Ericaceous Forest at elevations above 1,500 m.
