 Lake Sentani is a lake located in Papua, Indonesia.  Lake Sentani under the mountain slopes Cycloops Nature Reserve which has an area of ​​about 245 000 hectares. This lake lies between the City and District Jayapura Jayapura, Papua. Sentani lake has an area of ​​approximately 9360 hectares and is located at an altitude of 75 masl. Sentani lake is the largest lake in Papua.

In this lake there are 21 small islands adorn this beautiful lake. Sentani meaningful sense of the word "here we live in peace". Sentani own name was first mentioned by a Christian Pastor BL Bin when carrying out this mission in the area of ​​the lake in 1898.

This lake is managed as a tourist attraction located 50 kilometers from Jayapura and easy to reach, as a complement in this lake there are many tour boats to get around in Lake Sentani.

In this lake there are 30 species of freshwater fish and four of which are endemic to the lake is fishing cork Sentani Lake Sentani (Oxyeleotris heterodon), Rainbow Fish Sentani (Chilatherina sentaniensis), Rainbow Fish Red (Glossolepis incisus) and Shark chainsaw (Pristis Microdon). Sentani lake is also used as a tourist location for swimming, boating, diving, fishing, water skiing and culinary tours.
